In this breathwork we practice conscious connected breathing. Conscious meaning you’re aware of your breath and choosing to breathe. Connected meaning there are no pauses between inhalation and exhalation.
We actively breathe full breaths into the bottom of the lungs and the front, back, and sides of the body followed by a relaxed exhale.
Breathing is through the mouth bringing in more oxygen and allowing the frontal lobe of the brain to relax. This supports the nervous system allowing release of held energy in the body.
What to Expect
We begin with an opening process, then I’ll guide you through 30 minutes of gentle conscious connected breathing accompanied by music. After the session they’ll be time for sharing of experience and questions. No experience is necessary.
When practicing this style of breathwork you may notice more physical sensation in your body. Feelings, emotions, or memories may emerge. You might want to move or yawn, or you may feel nothing at all.
Every session is experienced differently. After the session breathers report feeling a sense of openness, deep relaxation, and often share insightful experiences.
